Body Stories

Body Stories Mapping System

Picture

A gentle guide to reading the body as a living story

What It Is:
Through your whole life, your body has been listening. Every ache, every recurring pattern, every symptom that keeps returning is not a malfunction — it is a sentence in a longer story your body has been quietly writing since long before you had words for what was happening.

Body Stories Mapping is a way of reading that story with you. Rather than asking "what is wrong with me," it asks a gentler question: "what has this part of me been trying to say?" It draws on the science of the nervous system and biofield alongside the deeper knowing held in energy psychology and acoustic restoration — because the body has always spoken in both languages at once.

You are not broken.

Rhythm is always waiting to be remembered.

How It Works — Four Movements
  •  Listening to the Terrain We begin by simply meeting where symptoms live in your body — when they arise, what they sit beside emotionally, what makes them louder or quieter. No labels yet. Just honest, careful listening.
  • Tracing the Story Backward From the symptom, we follow the thread back toward its beginning — the moments, shocks, or unspoken griefs your body chose to hold onto because there was nowhere else for them to go in that time.
  • Naming Without Labelling The story is given language — often metaphor, often a felt sense in the body — so you can recognise yourself in it without being reduced to a diagnosis or a category.
  • Restoring Rhythm Once the story is visible, the work turns toward resonance. Using Acoustic Restoration Therapy and Energy Psychology, we support your body in completing what it has been holding, so rhythm can return.

The Pace of the Process: This is not a one-off questionnaire or a quick checklist. It is a paced exploration, guided by a specifically designed set of questions that gently open the way toward your story — never rushed, never forced.
For many people, this unfolds over one or two sessions — there is no need to arrive at everything at once. Comfort and safety set the pace, not the process. And because your story keeps living and changing, the map itself is never finished; it can be revisited and evolved over time as more of you comes into view.

At its heart, this is less a technique and more an enquiry into life — yours, as it has actually been lived, told with care.

How It Helps You Understand Yourself
  • It answers "why does this keep happening" without shame — a recurring symptom becomes evidence of your body's intelligence, not a personal failing.
  • It gives language to what has felt unspeakable, offering a way in that doesn't require you to explain or relive an experience in words first.
  • It reframes your body from adversary to ally — something that has been protecting you the whole time, not working against you.
  • It honours your story exactly as it is. There is no wrong way to tell it, and no timeline you need to keep.

A Note on What This Is (and Isn't)
Body Stories Mapping is a lens for understanding — a way of recognising the intelligence already present in your body. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment, or a promise of outcome. It informs the work we do together in Acoustic Restoration Therapy and Energy Psychology, and it sits alongside, never replaces, care from your GP or other health professionals.

The body doesn't malfunction — it communicates.
And it knows how to find its way back.

If this resonates, it may be the beginning of your own body's story coming into focus.
I would be honoured to help you listen to it.

Body Stories Mapping
Frequently Asked Questions

What is Body Stories Mapping?
A gentle, guided way of reading your body as a living story. Rather than starting from "what's wrong with me," it starts from "what has this part of me been trying to say?" — helping you understand recurring patterns without shame or a clinical label.
How many sessions does it take?
There's no fixed number. For many people it unfolds over a couple of sessions rather than one, so there's no pressure to arrive at everything at once. Comfort and safety set the pace, not the process.
Do I need to already know what's going on, or explain everything up front?
No. The exploration is paced and guided by a specifically designed set of questions, so you don't need to arrive with answers — or even with words for what you're feeling. That's part of what the process is for.
What if I'm not ready to talk about something?
That's completely fine. There is no wrong way to tell your story, and no timeline you need to keep. The map only ever holds what you're ready to bring to it.
Is this a diagnosis or a form of treatment?
No. Body Stories Mapping is a lens for understanding — a way of recognising the intelligence already present in your body. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment, or a promise of outcome, and it sits alongside, never replaces, care from your GP or other health professionals.
Does the map stay the same once it's done?
No — and it isn't meant to. Because your story keeps living and changing, the map can be revisited and evolved over time as more comes into view. It's an enquiry into life, not a one-off result.
What happens after the mapping is complete?
For many people, mapping opens naturally into further work — such as Acoustic Restoration Therapy or Energy Psychology — to support the body in completing what it has been holding. The three combine seamlessly as a multi level approach, but there's no obligation to continue; the mapping stands on its own as well.
Who is this suitable for?
Anyone curious about the connection between their body and their life story — including recurring symptoms, patterns you can't quite explain, or simply wanting to understand yourself more fully. It's gentle enough to begin wherever you are.
What does a session cost?
A Body Stories Mapping session is $95. Get in touch for current availability and to book.
